About North Richland Hills
Just minutes from Dallas and Fort Worth, North Richland Hills is the third largest City in Tarrant County with more than 64,050 residents, 1,200 businesses and 30 major employers. Our community has much to offer with an excellent blend of neighborhoods, parks, dining, shopping, office and manufacturing space. We have a low crime rate, excellent public school system, one of the best public libraries in the state and nationally recognized parks and recreation program.
In 2006, North Richland Hills was named by Money Magazine as one of the 100 Best Places to Live in the United States. Cities making the list had the best possible blend of good jobs, low crime, quality schools, plenty of open space, reasonable home prices and lots to do.
North Richland Hills most popular attraction for residents and visitors alike is NRH2O Family Water Park. NRH2O features the Green Extreme, the world's tallest and longest uphill water roller coaster. The 60-acre park also offers a 16,000 square foot wave pool, water slides, a two-person tube slide and an extensive water playground.
Iron Horse Golf Course is also a favorite among residents and visitors to our community. Since opening in 1989, Iron Horse has been consistently voted among the best municipal golf courses in Texas. This challenging 18-hole Dick Phelps designed course surrounds golfers in a tranquil environment as the course meanders over scenic creeks and traverses under a railroad trestle.
